Vellore MahaLakshmi Temple
It was a wonderful experience for any person who visits Sripuram.
Approax 4hrs of journey from Chennai which passes through Vellore, Sripuram is divine place of Sri Laksmidevi Temple.
I started from Chennai Koyembedu bus terminal at 8am and reached Vellore at around 11.30am from where i have to catch another bus for Sripuram for another half an hour. On the way you will evidence the great Vellore Fort (known for Sepoy Mutiny) whose built will enthrall you. When i landed at Sripuram the climate was cloudy and cool. The Darshan for Goddess is free for all, along with some special Darshan Sevas. I went for free darshan which took me approax 1 hr.
The beautiful scenic beauty of the inner temple mesmerises the visitors, the message boards on the either side of the path in inner temple contains teachings of Sri Sakti Amma, which are true for everyone.
And the beauty of all is the divine GOD presiding the Temple covered with gold all around.
The infrastructure is well developed and provides good facilities for the devotees, you have put off your mobiles and place them with temple auth. (not to mention but your shoes too). there is a huge canteen inside the temple premises cattering to the devotees all time..
The temple is open all 365 days from 7am to 8pm.
